Cavegirls soccer to host Volcano Vista in state quarterfinals Tuesday

The Carlsbad Cavegirls soccer team looks to continue its undefeated season in the opening round of the Class 5A state playoffs.

After sweeping No. 6 Hobbs on Saturday, Carlsbad (8-0) will host No. 8 Volcano Vista (3-1-1) Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Ralph Bowyer Stadium

The last two seasons Volcano Vista has ended Carlsbad’s soccer season in the playoffs. The Lady Hawks bested Carlsbad, 4-0 in the 2019 state semifinals and 2-0 in the 2018 quarterfinals. 

Information on how to purchase tickets to this match will be posted when it becomes available.
