The Lake Carlsbad Municipal Tennis Complex will begin tennis lessons on June 14 that will take place every weekday morning for a month, ending on July 9.
All skill levels are allowed and anyone five years or older can sign up for classes. The intermediate level meets at 8 a.m. The ages five to nine meet from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and the ages 10 and up meet from 9:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A single family member costs $50 and additional family members are $30. Participants will have to bring their own tennis racquets.
The tennis complex will adhere to “guidelines put out by the State of New Mexico for the date of June 14th and after,” regarding sanitation and the disinfection of high-contact Charlie Jurva said.
Sign ups begin May 31 at the Rio Pecos Tennis shop at 700 Park Drive in Carlsbad and will continue through the end of the program. For additional information contact Charlie Jurva at 575-887-1980 or cjurva@valornet.com.
