But while it does mean a day of sleeping without feeling guilty, it also comes with a price: earlier sunsets during the dark winter months.

California is one of 48 states – with the exception of Arizona and Hawaii – that observe daylight saving time.

Pulling back is a better end to the contract, at least for parents who may find it easier to rest if they give their children an extra hour before bedtime, expert parents suggest.
