The week of September 11 is going to be a busy week in Carlsbad.

Award winning band Stranded was originally set to play July 3, but their performance had to be cancelled due to the weather. Stranded will now be performing from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 10 in front of the Cavern Theatre in downtown Carlsbad. Details of this are still in development, but this is going to be a great outdoor concert.

A parade celebrating the 16th of September is going to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday the 11th and run from the CMS Administration Building to the Ray Anaya San Jose Plaza. There will also be an event at the plaza throughout the day.

Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway

Robert and Patricia Jacquez will be holding Jericho Walk 2021 the weekend of Sept. 10-11, from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Carlsbad Beach. The annual walk will also take place that Saturday and begin on C-Hill and end at the former St. Edward School.

This event is a great celebration of faith in Carlsbad. Some big name performers, including the former lead singer of the Delfonics, will be part of the entertainment at the beach. There will also be a Show & Shine.
