Jarvis Earle and Francisca Veselko win the World Junior Championships

Over the past week, the 2023 SAMBAZON World Junior Championships hosted by Best Western took place on Seaside Reef in Encinitas, California. Rippers aged 20 and under met with absolutely pumping waves for most of the contest, letting competitors flex their talent in conditions worthy of the world stage.

Previous World Junior Champions have rocked the ‘CT and the surf industry in general, including the likes of Andy Irons, Gabriel Medina, Sally Fitzgibbons, and Jordy Smith. And starting this afternoon, Australia’s Jarvis Earl and Portugal’s Francisca Veselko have been added to the list of legends.

This win has catapulted two winners into the Challenger Series, keeping them one step closer to the World Tour. Keep an eye out for more of this young gun and play above and below to re-watch their recent performances against runners-up Levi Slawson and Sawyer Lindblad.
