As Cunningham said in the Architectural Digest, “Due to the shape of the space, the pressure of the beams and grille overhead, and the apparent hover above the water, it feels like being on a ship at sea.” Indeed, the enclave does seem to float above the cascading Pacific below.

Cunningham described the residence as “a sculpture of movement, space and light” and it certainly gives the impression of a three-dimensional work of art. Even the stairs are a showcase!
