The COVID-19 pandemic forced the New Mexico Activities Association to postpone all the Fall 2020 sports until 2021 but at last the high school student athletes of New Mexico now know their “fall” schedules.
Cross country, soccer and volleyball schedules had already been released with football being held for the NMAA’s decision regarding a potential postseason format.

The shortened season will be unusual, but Carlsbad will face familiar foes Artesia and Hobbs in the two home games on the schedule. The two away games will be against Roswell and against Clovis in Saturday afternoon games. The NMAA will go with a four-game regular season and will have one final postseason game. Dusty Young of the NMAA said fans will not be allowed to any regular season games.
