CARLSBAD, CA – Police have arrested a man suspected of beating several women last year at a North County mall.
Eighteen-year-old Brandon Cabrera, from Carlsbad, was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting women at The Shoppes in Carlsbad at 2525 El Camino Real, the Carlsbad police department announced Tuesday.
The first case happened in May last week at Shoppes in Carlsbad, when a woman said Cabrera approached her from behind and beat her sexually, police said.

A woman said Cabrera followed her close to Macy in February, walked behind her and grabbed an unidentified part of her body, police said. He then ran away from the scene.
A third woman reported that Cabrera followed her around the shops and to her car on May 2. She took an undisclosed part of her body, police said. He was beaten and kicked out of Cabrera, but fled.

Police arrested Cabrera Friday with the help of The Shoppes in Carlsbad and Macy staff. She was enrolled in the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of three different sexual battery scores.
